What’s Hot 2009 reviewed…

What’s Hot in 2009 is a dialogue session conducted by Cradle Investment Program (CIP) & entrepreneurs.my, was held in Plug & Play Technology Garden, Midvalley on the 12th of January 2009.
A week before I came back to work with a very depressing mood. I was quite ‘lost’ in a way that I have no idea what to do with myself this year (career wise that is). Bu then came this event and I applied to attend.
The event went on for 3hours or so with lots of issues pertaining ICT industry in this country covered.
As a consensus, the crowd agreed that outsourcing will be the next big thing for this industry to throng, where demand from matured business areas such as the US and Europe had shifted dramatically towards either Vietnam and Malaysia. But we need to focus on the high value chain of outsourcing such as software development and Business Intelligence. Plus if you are into Web 2.0, you might want to focus on rather social issues like improving human life and such. That would really serve the market well this time around.
